H.E. Dr. Sidi Ould Tah, Ph.D., is the President of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), a major ‘AAA’ Multilateral Development Bank at the service of the Arab-African solidarity. Under his transformational leadership, since his appointment in 2015, the Bank established itself as a key long-term development partner in Africa with a special focus on social impact, sustainability, private sector and trade finance. “Development Banker of the Year” (2022), his pragmatic game-changing development approach led the Bank to receiving strong credit ratings from top rating agencies, signaling its outstanding financial solidity and shareholders’ support. Prior to joining the Bank, he served as Mauritanian Minister of Economic Affairs and Development and worked in the Islamic Development Bank Group.
